The Bales Family: Tyler and Edith Bales

Bales.png

The Salem Ward would like to welcome the newest members of our church Tyler and Edith Bales. Tyler was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of the state of Texas while Edith was born and raised in Price, Utah. Both Tyler and Edith were born into families of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and baptized at the tender age of 8. Tyler and Edith met while serving the Lord on their missions in Anaheim, California and were married August 10, 2024. Together they started their journey and began to search for a place where they could both enhance their futures. They found the lovely Salem, Virginia and decided to settle here. Tyler is currently attending Southern Virginia University of Buena Vista to play baseball and pursue a career and coaching while also working at T-Mobile at the kiosk at Sam's. Edith is attending ECPI University to obtain her degree in nursing while currently working as a CNA in Berkshire health and rehab and also waitressing at a local favorite Mac and Bob's. She also loves to do arts and crafts and also sells the things that she makes. Together they enjoy playing pickleball and I know there's many of you in this ward that like to play pickleball so they should fit perfectly with the Salem family. Since joining our ward in August of 2025 they have been called upon to serve the Lord as Sunday school teachers. I hope you will take a minute to stop and say hello and help make them feel welcome.
